What is a Vault Signer Card?

Modified on Tue, 30 Apr at 12:39 PM

Developed in partnership with Tangem, LOBSTR Vault Signer Card represents a new smart way to improve the security of your Stellar wallet.

Fully integrated with LOBSTR Vault transaction signer app, this stylish card brings the power of Tangem's highly-secure technology to the multisignature layer of the Stellar network.

The Signer Card is designed to be used as an additional signer for your main Stellar wallet.

The chip embedded into the Signer Card creates and holds your unique and uncopyable Vault signer account within the card itself, making it the most secure way to protect your crypto.

LOBSTR Vault connects the Signer Card to your smartphone using near-field communication technology (NFC) and allows you to create the signer account in a few easy steps. The signer account never leaves the chip and is never sent to any servers.

LOBSTR Vault works with your favorite Stellar wallets and so is the Signer Card.

Use the Signer Card as a signer for your existing Stellar wallet on LOBSTR, StellarX, StellarTerm or Stellarport, choose any transaction and simply hold the card beneath your smartphone to sign the transaction using NFC.

Designed for personal and business use, Signer Card provides a variety of different use cases to fit your needs.

Use the card as your main signer in 2-of-2 multisig, as a backup signer in 2-of-3 multisig or as a part of a complex n-of-m multisig configuration. Protect one or several accounts with a single Signer Card.

Your device must support the NFC technology for you to be able to use the Signer Card.

The minimum supported OS versions are:
- iOS 13 or later
- Android 5.1 or later
